Umi: Around the World in A-Town

Umi: Around the World in A-Town

The capital of Georgia is seeing a major resurgence in recent years, becoming a hotspot destination for musicians, artists, and all kinds of other creatives. The combination of a healthier economy and a growing number of diverse creatives moving to the city has resulted in a bustling mecca of delights for art, culture, and design lovers.

There's no room for debate: the south loves to eat, and Atlanta upholds the southern reputation of good food to a tee. From mouth-watering (and award-winning) steaks to farm-to-table ingredients, this city is bursting with exceptional flavor. For fresh, authentic, and mouth-watering sushi, look no further than Umi.

Designed by Todd Murphy, the interior is simple and elegant, infused with organic materials to reflect the pure and clean qualities of the Asian fare it serves. Tokyo-born chef and co-owner Fuyuhiko Ito sources seafood from around the globe to deliver unforgettable modern Japanese cuisine. The menu is robust, with all of your favorite traditional rolls and nigiri along with signature creations, like the Kobe Beef Roll and the Typhoon Roll with spicy yellowtail topped with salmon, avocado, and jalapeno. Oh, and donut touch my donut… a dlg dessert must-have.
